Re: Levitation base assembly...discussion

Thank you for this clear explanaition. I proceed to the modification and it seems to work very well (it is only 10mn since I powered it again, but I already saw that there is no more touch sensor self-trigerred when placing the floating unit.) In addition to that ,placing a wire in place of R13 is b...

Re: Levitation base assembly...discussion

Hello Tony, I have exactly the same behaviour as Lee described: after several hours, sometimes, the touch sensor triggered by itself... When you suggested to connect a link across R13 (shorting it out), do you mean that it will solve the touch sensor issue? If I understand well, R13 is for the overc...

Re: Sharing experience wit the time flies

Hello Lee, sorry for my late answer (i was out with no access to the forum). I hope everything is OK for you and that only the car suffered for the crash. For me too, it was difficult to get the clock aligned with the base: I had rotate the magnet fraction per fraction until finding the right positi...

Re: Sharing experience wit the time flies

Hi Lee, thank you so much for your comments ! 8-) When you write "...but now the #6 LED is not working at all..." you mean the Led under the right tube or the last Led (the one under the clock on the right side)? If this is the led under the right tube, it is strange because if this Led is...

Sharing experience wit the time flies

Today is a great day because I completed my Time Flies kit ! This is by far the best experience in electronics since many years. I would like to thank Tony for this great kit, for his support and his kindness... It was not so easy to assemble and to fine tune it. I would like to share my experience ...

Re: Levitation base assembly...discussion

Well I successfully figured out what my problem was with the touch sensor. The pin outs on the sensor are not in the order of Ground VCC the I/O the I/O pin is in the middle and I had reversed the VCC and IO pins. After this correction everything function just as it was described in the directions....

WS2812b Led discussion

Hello, I am interested in getting more information related to the code to pilot the WS2812b LEDs. The LEDs works correctly but I don't understand how it can be. I study the source code and I don't understand how it can work for two reasons (see below). I probably missed something, could you help me ...

Re: PCB assembly discussion

A little hint for the Battery switch: Be aware that the switch is connected to nothing on the PCB. If you want to use it to switch off the batteries, you will have to connect it with a strap to the + batteries connection pad. The connection is described in the attached pictured (strap in Green color).

Realy - 5 Tubes electric diagram

Here is the electronic diagram. As it is a little bit complex to draw from the tracks, do not hesitate to mention if you see any mistake... I triple checked it but an error is always possible!

Re: PCB Assembly Discussion

Hi Tony, in the PCB assembly (page1) you wrote: Now a modification before going any further. There's a track connecting the HV capactiros to the main HV rail here: Image It's under the resistor in the previous pictures but you can see where the PCB has been cut. Cut through this track as it's now co...
